The committee urged House Speaker Nabih Berri to call upon the ministers tasked with tackling the waste crisis to attend the upcoming session.
Following today’s meeting, Kanaan stressed that the committee will follow up on the trash file, pointing out that it had requested the correspondences of Sukleen Company with the Council for Development and Reconstruction.
The lawmaker noted that “the correspondences showed that ‘Sukleen’s Angels’ are part of the Cabinet.”
“There are accumulated debts of LL2700 billion on the municipalities due to waste contracts,” he stated.
