Woman injured in Zahle bombing succumbs to wounds

A Lebanese woman hailing from the northern town of Miniara, Akkar has died on Sunday of wounds sustained in a roadside bombing that took place last month in the city of Zahle.

The National News Agency reported that 55-year-old Lebanese national Khaldiye Chidiac succumbed to her wounds on Sunday, raising the death toll from the August 31 bombing to two.

About a dozen others were injured when a roadside bomb exploded as a passenger bus arrived at a roundabout at Zahle's entrance.
