President Michel Aoun stressed Wednesday the need to conduct "a comprehensive review of the tax law that has been adopted in Lebanon since the Independence", highlighting the importance of fiscal stability to attract investments and capital, and to strengthen and protect productive sectors.
President Aoun's remarks came during his meeting today at the Baabda Palace with a delegation of the new administrative board of the Lebanese Tax Association, headed by Hisham Al-Mkammal.
The President emphasized that "fighting corruption and tax evasion operations is a shared responsibility between the citizens and the State," hoping that further achievements will be made in this regard after the upcoming parliamentary elections and the formation of a new government.
