Speaker Nabih Berri met with US Ambassador Elisabeth Richard, and informed her that the Parliament is about to discuss and establish legislations to legalize planting weed for medical use like European countries and some American states.
Berri affirmed to the Chief of European Union Election Observation Mission, Elena Valenciano that amendments should be made to the current election law, stressing the need to include women in the electoral quota.
He noted that enhancing the proportionality and expanding the electoral constituencies will lead to a civil state where human rights and sects are protected.
