REPORT: Laos continues to evacuate thousands of flood victims to safety

Laos military and rescue workers from neighboring Thailand on Saturday (July 28) continued to evacuate more than 3,000 flood victims from the hardest hit villages in Attapeu province, south of the collapsed Xe Pian Xe Nam Noi dam, Laotian television reported.

Most of evacuees are from the worst affected villages in Sanam Xai town on Se Kong river bank southern part of Attapeu province. They are being moved toward northeast to the provincial town.

Laotian government still has no further report of casualty, after earlier this week it said 131 people were missing, more than 3,000 in 587 family from 13 villages are homeless.
