Former Prime Minister Tamam Salam met on Saturday with PM-designate Hassan Diab within the framework of the non-binding parliamentary consultations for form a new cabinet, held at the Parliament.
Following the meeting Salam hoped that the consultations will lead to a positive result for the sake of the country, adding that he does not have personal demands but will support the demands of the people.
He called for forming a cabinet that leads to an exit from the current crisis and one that meets the aspirations of the people.
Commenting on Friday events, he said that the peaceful protesters are rightful, but what happened yesterday should not be repeated.
