Two Qatari field hospitals arrive in Beirut
Two Qatari Emiri Air Force airplanes arrived on Wednesday at the Rafic Hariri International Airport carrying two field hospitals for Tyre and Tripoli regions.
The two planes were received at the airport by Caretaker Minister of Public Health Hamad Hassan, and other senior Qatari and Lebanese officials.
Hassan thanked the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, as well as the Qatari government and its people for this initiative.
The Minister then voiced hopes that the Lebanese people would deal seriously and responsibly with the directions set to fight Coronavirus.
He also expressed hope that during the two-week lockdown, the readiness of government hospitals would increase. He also hoped for responsible steps from private hospitals.
For his part, the Qatari ambassador said that two airplanes carrying medical equipment will arrive on Thursday in Beirut, voicing permanent readiness to help Lebanon and its people.
