Berri urges Lazzarini to report Israeli violations to UN

Speaker Nabih Berri met on Thursday with Acting UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Philippe Lazzarini in Ain el-Tineh.

During the meeting, Berri tackled the Israeli violations of Resolution 1701, the attack on the Tomb of the Prophet Ibrahim in the Shebaa Farms and Israel's will to erect a border wall that crosses into the Lebanese soil, and forms an occupation and appropriation of additional Lebanese territory and a violation of Lebanon's sovereignty.

Berri also asked the UN envoy "to comprise these new Israeli violations in his report to the UN secretary-general and to raise them before UN's top authorities before the end of this month.”
