Syrian Ambassador points finger at Zionism, Western colonialism for Syria strike

Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdel Karim Ali said Monday that “the Arab mentality of a ‘regressive nature,’ Western American colonialism, and the international Zionist movement are all responsible for any strike against Syria,” stressing that the Syrian nation is now stronger and its army remains capable of defending its front.

During a meeting held in solidarity with the Syrian regime, Ambassador Ali said “Syria at the end will be victorious,” pointing out that any strike aims at disrupting the stability of the entire region in order to maintain strength and calm within Israel.

In the same context, Ambassador Ali said threats of a strike against Syria have increased the determination of his country, adding that an attack will target more than the regime itself and hinder humanitarian relations and world peace.
