Parliamentary Communications Committee tackles Israeli spying posts

Hezbollah bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah stressed on Monday that the Parliamentary Communications Committee has discussed the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, noting that it has taken a new direction in terms of the used techniques.

Following a meeting held by the said Committee at Beirut’s Nejmeh square, Fadlallah said that the Israeli violation happened despite the presence of the UNIFIL and the UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

“The Lebanese state is technically capable of confronting Israeli violations,” Fadlallah noted.

Fadlallah uncovered that there were more posts and antennas but the Israeli army pulled of some out of the 39 that were present on the Blue line, stressing the need to confront the Israeli aggression with all possible means.

"We agreed with caretaker Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour to implement measures and file a complaint before the United Nation Security Council regarding the violations that are taking place in full view of the UNIFIL which is a clear breach of the Blue line" he said. In this context, he added: "Israel would not have dared to spy on us if the state was strong and present."

Lebanon is set to submit a complaint to the United Nations Security Council over reports concerning the Israeli spying posts along its border.

The biggest spying post is reportedly installed in al-Abbad and Jan al-Alam areas, which are located near the UN demarcated Blue line.
