Hezbollah operates fleet of 200 UAVs along Lebanese-Syrian borders

The Iranian-sponsored Hezbollah is believed to operate a fleet of 200 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), the World Tribune newspaper reported.

The Shiite group was operating UAVs throughout Lebanon, Lebanese sources said.

The sources added that the unmanned aircraft operations intensified in 2013 in light of the raging war in neighboring Syria and attempts by Sunni rebels to infiltrate the Lebanese territories.

Most of the Hezbollah UAVs were supplied and produced by Iran, the same sources said.

“The UAVs have been flying mainly in the Bekaa Valley along the Lebanese-Syrian borders,” a source reported.
