3 ISF personnel injured on outskirts of Sabra, 1 killed in Jal el Dib accident

Three Internal Security Forces officers were injured on while trying to remove illegal construction in the outskirts of Sabra refugee camp, the NNA reported on Wednesday.         

According to security sources, a patrol from the ISF, which was backed by a Lebanese army unit, was sent to outskirts of Sabra to raze down a construction site which was built illegally on a land.         

Dozens of men and women surrounded the patrol and hurled stones on the soldiers in an attempt to prevent them from completing their mission.          

Some of the protesters opened fire on the patrol which was forced to shoot in the air to disperse the crowd.       
As a result of the shooting, three ISF officers were wounded, prompting the patrol to pull back.       

Meanwhile, a speeding truck rammed into a civil car under Jal el Dib Bridge, causing the death of its driver.       

The body was taken to the morgue's hospital.        

The accident caused a traffic jam on the highway as long queue of cars can been seen in the area.
