Tammam Salam kicks off his duties as Prime Minister

Tammam Salam arrived on Monday to the Grand Serail and was welcomed by staff members to begin his work as Prime Minister.

He was welcomed by cabinet Secretary-General Suhail Bouji and senior government staff at the Grand Serail.

Salam, who formed his 24-member all-embracing government after a eleven month deadlock, was accompanied by Environment Minister Mohammed al-Machnouk.

This as the cabinet will hold its first session at the Baabda Palace on Tuesday to form the committee that would draft the ministerial statement.
