US ambassador Hale praises bravery of LAF, stresses US continuous support for Lebanon

The US ambassador to Lebanon David Hale stressed Tuesday that the United States has been following the situation in Arsal very closely, reiterating the continuous support of the US to the Lebanese Armed Forces and all security apparatuses in their work to secure Lebanon’s borders and protect the country from terrorism.

Following his meeting with Prime Minister Tammam Salam, Hale stressed the need to insulate Lebanon from regional conflicts through the policy of dissociation, praising the bravery of the members of the security services.

“They have all our confidence and sympathy,” he stated, adding that condemnations and moral support, while important, are not enough.

The ambassador pointed out that the US assistance program with the Lebanese army is longstanding, ongoing, and is helping in meeting any challenge.
