Kataeb party Chief Amin Gemayel left Beirut on Sunday heading to Brussels, to take part in the conference held by the Democratic Centrist Parties Union, as a vice-president of the union.
Gemayel’s agenda includes the discussion of a joint plan between the union’s member states to fight off the extremist and fundamentalist groups that are targeting and terrorizing the region of the Middle East.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel is expected to participate in the conference, as well as Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban and other leaders from around the world.
During his stay in the European Union’s capital, Gemayel is set to hold political talks concerning the latest developments in Lebanon and the region.
