Speaker Berri, Iranian parliamentary speaker discuss Lebanon developments amid escalation of Israeli attacks

Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received a phone call from Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, during which they discussed developments in Lebanon amid what was described as an escalation of Israeli attacks, accompanied by a policy of forced displacement of residents in southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs, as well as ways to halt the offensive.

Berri praised what he described as the “positions and efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” and its insistence that ending the war and aggression against Lebanon be a primary and essential condition in any agreement aimed at restoring stability to the region.
