Interior Minister Mashnouq denies reports of banning protests in downtown Beirut

Minister of Interior Nouhad Machnouq denied on Tuesday reports stating that he had proposed the banning of protests in downtown Beirut and moving them to the Camille Chamoun Sports City instead.

Minister Mashnouq also noted that he gave his directives to allow protesters to continue holding their demonstrations across Lebanon as long as they remain peaceful and lawful.
