Member of the Lebanese Forces bloc MP Fadi Karam stressed Thursday that there are no complications in the relation between the Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea and former PM Saad Hariri, but there are some differences in points of view, noting that contacts are underway to clarify the matter.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Karam pointed out that “the democratic battles in Lebanon do not always occur in the election’s hall, but they come in the form of settlements reached inside dark chambers,” adding that the recent settlement has not yet been explained.
“We do not reject Marada leader MP Sleiman Frangieh as a person, but we are more interested in the candidate’s project; otherwise, we would not have met in Bkerke,” he stated.
In the same context, the deputy asked that “if the issue of Hezbollah’s arms and the relation with Syria were put aside, then on what grounds the settlement has been built?”
The MP added that Frangieh and Hariri must have tackled the issue of the parliamentary elections during their meeting.
