Power cut at Beirut airport causes unbearable heat

The power line feeding the cooling system at the Rafik Hariri International Airport was disrupted on Friday, causing unbearable heat.

The Acting Director General of Civil Aviation Daniel El Haiby announced that power will be restored shortly, adding that an alternative plan is under study to ensure power supply in case this happened again. It is noteworthy that the airport’s electric generators feed all devices except for the cooling system.
