A new strike against the postponement of endorsing the salaries and ranks scale

After the cabinet failed once again to endorse the salaries and ranks scale law, failing to refer it to the parliament for ratification, the Union Coordination Committee is holding a general strike today Thursday in all public administrations, including both private and public schools.

In this context, the Secretary General of the Catholic Schools Father Boutros Azar told Al Joumhouria Newspaper that today is a normal academic day.

Azar added, “the current situation is regretful as teachers are deciding when to open the schools’ doors and when to close them without the consideration of the students and the administrations’ interests.”
