Diab receives letter from President of French Senate

Caretaker Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, received a letter from the President of the French Senate, Mr. Gérard Larcher, in which he thanked PM Diab for the virtual meeting he held with senators-members of the French-Lebanese Friendship Group, for they were unable to travel to Lebanon due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

In his message, Larcher praised the deep French-Lebanese friendship, and expressed his appreciation for the briefing made by Premier Diab about the Lebanese situation, especially in the aftermath of Beirut port blast. The French official reiterated the French Senate’s standing by Lebanon and its people in light of the harsh conditions the country is going through.
