May 13 first day of Eid el-Fitr: Grand Mufti Derian

Lebanon's Grand Mufti Abdel-Latif Derian announced on Tuesday that Thursday, May 13 is the first day of Eid el-Fitr.

According to a statement issued by the Dar al-Fatwa, Mufti Derian will perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer at 6:25 AM in the morning of the Eid el-Fitr at the Mohammad al-Amin Mosque in downtown Beirut.

The statement added that due to the current circumstances and the Coronavirus pandemic, the Mufti apologizes for not receiving well-wishers in the lobby of the Dar al-Fatwa.
