Minister of Public Works highlights necessity of removing waste to prevent floods

Minister of Public Works and Transport Ali Hamieh indicated that since the third day of his appointment as minister, he instructed the teams and contractors of works to isolate and clean waterways from highways.

He also highlighted the importance of launching continuous work and remaining fully prepared and fully ready to intervene in order to avoid floods resulting from blockage in sewers during the rainy season.

"I had written to the governors and municipalities through the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, regarding the necessity of removing waste from the streets, due to the need to work in a parallel and integrated manner in order to preserve public safety before winter," he said.
