French Foreign Ministry calls on Lebanese MPs to elect new president without delay

The French Foreign Ministry called on Tuesday upon all Lebanese MPs to elect a new President of the Republic and without delay.

The Ministry said in a statement that Lebanon has gone through a serious and unprecedented economic, financial and social crisis, which requires the proper functioning of all its institutions, including the presidency, the government, and the parliament to take the necessary measures for the advancement of the country and urgently improve the conditions of the Lebanese.
