Lebanon to reportedly close its consulate in Paris and merge it with the embassy: report

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants decided to abandon the building of the consulate in Paris and merge it with the embassy's headquarters in the French capital to save an annual cost of 220,000 euros to pay for the building's rent, An-Nahar newspaper learned.

Additionally, the Lebanese flag that has long been flying will be removed on Tuesday to merge with the flag raised at the embassy headquarters.

In the upcoming official announcement next Tuesday, the consulate will announce new procedures for receiving transaction holders through the embassy's website, An-Nahar said.
