MP Aoun calls for the declaration of the 1st of September as a public holiday

Change and Reform Bloc MP Alain Aoun called for considering the 1st of September of every year as an official day to commemorate the memory of all Lebanese assassinated leaders, pointing out that this date also marks the proclamation of the State of Greater Lebanon.

In a press conference held at parliament on Friday, MP Aoun said that while the 1st of September will commemorate the memory of numerous fallen leaders, it will not cancel out individual dates declared as holidays marking the death of each assassinated leader.
