Health Ministry ceases health services, Finance Ministry to pay allocations

Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil announced on Monday that hospitals will cease to admit patients at the expense of the Public Health Ministry as of Wednesday, February 20th, until further notice.

The Ministry's statement explained that the decision is related to the postponement of endorsing a decree that allocates hospitalization credits to private and governmental hospitals.

In this context, Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi told LBCI that the Health Ministry’s dues to hospitals will be settled tomorrow Tuesday.
