Lebanon’s prime minister praises progress in Palestinian arms handover

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said he spoke with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, commending the progress made over the past two days in transferring heavy weapons from Palestinian camps to the custody of the Lebanese army.

Salam added that President Abbas confirmed additional batches would be handed over in the coming weeks from the remaining camps, in line with prior agreements.
