Israeli army claims it carried out overnight strikes on headquarters and ten high-rise buildings housing Hezbollah military infrastructure

The Israeli army said it carried out a wave of airstrikes in Beirut overnight targeting what it described as Hezbollah military infrastructure, according to a statement posted on X by Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee.

The army said around 26 waves of strikes have targeted Beirut’s southern suburbs since the start of the war, adding that the latest overnight attacks hit command centers and ten high-rise buildings allegedly housing military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah.

According to the statement, the strikes were carried out by the Israeli Air Force based on intelligence provided by the military intelligence directorate.

Among the targets were the group’s executive council headquarters and a warehouse where drones used in attacks against Israel were reportedly stored.

The Israeli military said the facilities were used by Hezbollah to plan and carry out operations against Israeli forces and civilians.

It added that measures were taken before the strikes to reduce the risk of civilian casualties, including issuing advance warnings, using precision-guided munitions, and conducting aerial surveillance.

The army said it would continue operations against Hezbollah, accusing the group of taking part in the conflict while acting under the support of Iran.
