Hadi al-Abdallh to LBCI: The al-Qussair is witnessing the fiercest clashes

Syrian political activist Hadi al-Abdallah said on Saturday the al-Qussair is witnessing fiercest clashes since last Sunday.

In this regard, al-Abdallah told LBCI that 2 missiles from the Hermel region landed in al-Qussair killing 4 persons and wounding 30 others.

Al-Abdallah added that only members from Hezbollah are controlling the operations without the help of Syrian regime forces.

On Sunday the 19th of May, Syrian troops backed by tanks and warplanes launched an assault on a strategic rebel-held town near the Lebanese border, pounding the area with airstrikes and artillery salvos that killed at least 30 people and forced residents to scramble for cover in basements and makeshift bunkers, activists said.

The town of al-Qussair has been besieged for weeks by regime troops and pro-government gunmen.
