Director of the Catholic Center of Information Father Abdo Abou Kassem explained that the reason behind their objection to a concert for “Machrou Leila” in Jbeil is the band’s performance of two songs insulting the Christian symbols and beliefs.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Abou Kassam stressed that they requested this gig to be stopped through the law and calmly, emphasizing that he refuses to resolve this issue with evil and threats.
He also hoped that a solution that satisfies everyone will be reached, reiterating that they do not want any insults targeting Christianity in the festival.
