Libya’s embattled leader Muammar Gaddafi urged Imams to incite young people to fight rebels.
In a short audio-only speech broadcasted on loyalist TV stations, Gaddafi said: “Libya is for the Libyans and not for colonial powers.” He called on Libyan tribes to expel “foreign agents” from their country.
Gaddafi also asked his loyalists to involve women and children in “purifying” the Libyan capital Tripoli, he added: “Do not let the rats hand over Tripoli to the colonial powers”.
