Blasts heard over Tel Aviv: AFP journalist

Air raid sirens sounded, and explosions were heard over the coastal Israeli city of Tel Aviv on Sunday as Israel and Iran exchanged missile strikes, an AFP journalist reported.

The journalist heard a dozen blasts from air defence systems intercepting missiles echo in the sky of Tel Aviv.

One person has died in Israel since Iran began launching missiles at the country in response to a wave of U.S.-Israeli attacks against the Islamic Republic on Saturday.
