Iran announces arrest of two "Europeans" on suspicion of trying to "destabilize" country
The Iranian Ministry of Security and Intelligence announced the arrest of two European nationals, on suspicion of coming to the Islamic Republic in order to "destabilize" the country, according to official media.

The official IRNA news agency quoted a ministry statement as saying that two Europeans who had entered the country in order to sow chaos and destabilize society had been identified and arrested.

The statement did not specify the date and place of the arrest, or the identity of the detainees, who indicated that they hold the citizenship of a "European country" and work for the intelligence service.
