Syria Mufti: sons of Lebanon an imminent fight awaits you

The Mufti of Syria Ahmad Baderdeen Hassoun warned the Western world against any attack that will target his country, adding that retaliation will only be through an “act of martyrdom”.

“Dear Lebanese citizens, an imminent fight awaits you. They [Israel] were not able to sow the seeds of strife in Syria and therefore they will attempt to do so in Lebanon. But I have no doubt that you will reach the end victorious once again as you have done before”, Mufti Hassoun said during a meeting with a Lebanese delegation.

The mufti, whose son was killed last week, threatened European countries and the U.S. saying that suicide bombers are already positioned and waiting for any foreign attack against Syria and Lebanon.

 “From now on it will be an eye for an eye and we shall not turn the other cheek. You were the first to do us wrong and this time we will fight back”, Mufti Hassoun said.

Mufti Hassoun appealed to all Arab countries to stand by Syria, saying, “Do not offer Syria on a silver plate to the Western world. Arab men and leaders, sons of humanity, you are looking at a free Syria that never kneeled down and never will.”
