UN accuses Malian members of committing acts of revenge

The United Nations accused Malian soldiers of committing acts of revenge against several ethnic groups since the beginning of the French Military intervention in Mali and called on Malian authorities to investigate this issue in order to prosecute those responsible.

According to the UN, those who committed the acts targeted an ethnic minority that supports an armed group occupying North Mali since 2012.

In this context, an UN official said that the situation has been aggravated by the spread of provocative messages via media outlets.
