Financial Times: US considers expanding deployment of its nuclear weapons in Europe

The Financial Times reported that the United States is considering the possibility of deploying nuclear weapons in other European countries that are members of NATO.

The newspaper noted that U.S. officials have expressed readiness for additional deployments beyond the six current countries that host nuclear-capable bombers.

Reuters said it has not yet been able to verify the accuracy of the report, which cited three people familiar with the discussions.
