Sugar in Tripoli port unfit for human consumption – Health Ministry

Lebanon’s Public Health Ministry declared Friday that the sugar samples taken from the port of the northern city of Tripoli were found unfit for human consumption and do not match the adopted safety standards.

In this context, the ministry issued a statement whereby it said that the samples contained levels of aerobic microorganisms, yeasts and fungi, higher than the levels permitted.
