REPORT: Lebanese citizens remain confused over new electoral law - Poll

It seems that all the attempts to explain the new electoral law to the citizens have failed in clarifying the voting mechanism.

According to a poll conducted by Ipsos, 45% of the respondents who are 21 years and above, which means that they are voters, are aware that the new law is based on proportional representation.

55% of them say that the new law does not meet their aspirations, while 44% see that it is very complicated.

49% consider that the new law is an achievement for the era of President Michel Aoun, against 51 % who do not share the same opinion.
