The US embassy in Lebanon extended Friday its deepest condolences for the people of Lebanon, especially the families of the fallen Lebanese Armed Forces soldiers, who were kidnapped by the Islamic State in August 2014.
On its twitter account, the embassy also offered condolences for the soldiers who were killed in the line of duty during Fajr al-Jouroud operation.
“Today, our flag flies at half-mast in observance of the National Day of Mourning,” the embassy said, expressing salute for the Lebanese people’s resilience in the face of terrorism and the Lebanese army’s sacrifices and achievements in making Lebanon safe.
