Minister Fenianos: Expansion of airport to be tackled during next Cabinet session

Minister of Public Works Youssef Fenianos asserted on Wednesday that the expansion of Beirut airport will take place in three different stages.

He also noted that he agreed with Prime Minister Saad Hariri to put the airport’s article on the agenda of the next cabinet’s session that will take place on January 25.

“If the article is approved, works at the airport will start the next day.” he added.

The minister concluded by saying that Banque Du Liban Governor Riyad Salameh and Chairman of Middle East Airlines Mohammad al-Hout “are willing to cooperate in this regard.”
