Israeli Defense Minister: Control of Ali al-Taher heights strengthens ‘security zone’ in southern Lebanon

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said control of the Ali al-Taher heights strengthens Israel’s “security zone” in southern Lebanon, stressing that Israeli forces will not withdraw from what he described as a strategic Hezbollah position.

“Control of the Ali al-Taher heights marks the completion of a phase aimed at securing control of the security zone in southern Lebanon,” Katz said in a statement.
