President Michel Aoun said Saturday that “the event that took place in Syria does not contribute to finding a political solution for the Syrian crisis,” noting that dialogue is a necessary matter to end the deterioration of the situation and to put an end to foreign interventions that have further complicated the crisis.
“Lebanon rejects targeting any Arab state with foreign attacks with regardless of the reasons given for them to happen, and it sees in the latest developments in Syria a shift towards a greater involvement of the western states in the Syrian crisis, leaving behind many repercussions,” he stated.
