Machnouq: In case generators are turned off, we will confiscate them

The owners of private power generators rejected on Thursday the price of privately-generated electricity set by the Ministries of Economy and Energy, saying that they will file a lawsuit against Caretaker Economy Minister Raed Khoury for dubbing them as "mafia."

 

This as Caretaker Minister of Interior Nouhad Machnouq said that his ministry will follow up on the setting of generators meters.

 

Machnouq’s comments were made following a meeting with Caretaker Minister of Economy Raed Khoury.

 

“In case generators are turned off, we will confiscate them and halt their work from our side, not theirs,” Machnouq concluded by saying.
