President Michel Aoun responded to a question asked by Maronite Patriarch Beshara Boutros Rai about the failure to gift the Lebanese people the cabinet for the holiday, saying that “the battle is political and it seems there is a change in the traditions and customs in Lebanon.”
In a press conference held following a closed meeting with Rai, Aoun called on the citizens to pray for the difficulties to dissipate and the cabinet to be formed.
“It seems some politicians are creating new traditions in the formation process of a cabinet that we did not know before and this issue needs a bit of time to be resolved,” he added.
