President Aoun: Government formation renews confidence in the country
President Michel Aoun said on Friday that the formation of a new Cabinet renewed the confidence in the country "after the imbalance that occurred as a result of the delay in its formation."

“The formation revived the financial markets, especially Lebanon's sovereign dollar bonds markets and raised them to the highest level since July 2018,” he added.
Aoun also tackled the achievements that were made until present, starting from the stability and security after fighting terrorists and expelling them from the Lebanese territories, the drop in the bank robbery and abduction rates, the drop in explosions and the dismantlement of terror rings, the reorganization of institutions and the endorsement of a new election law, in addition to the concluded oil contracts.
Aoun vowed to complete the achieved accomplishments at the economic and financial levels, in addition to dealing with the refugee crisis and fighting corruption.
Lebanon formed a new national unity government on Thursday, ending nine months of wrangling, and Prime Minister Saad Hariri said bold moves were needed without delay to address chronic problems facing the heavily indebted state.
