Hajj Hassan calls for formation of parliamentary committee to look into cellular dossier

Head of the Telecommunications Committee MP Hussein al-Hajj Hassan demanded on Wednesday for a committee of inquiry into the cellular file to be formed.

The lawmaker’s comments were made during a press conference whereby he said that the committee would be entrusted to examine violations committed by companies operating the cellular sector and the violations of successive ministers.

"Representative of Etisalat Company had admitted that the Minister of Telecommunications was forcing the two companies to change the results of transparent tenders and sign with certain companies," he said.
