Fury over Anti-Islam film simmers on as 150 people arrested in France

For the fourth day in a row, Muslims throughout the world continue their protests against the anti-Islam film.          

In Afghanistan, protests continued and reached the capital Kabul, where around 1500 students demonstrated outside the campus of Kabul University, chanting “Death for USA”, in a the first peaceful movement in the Afghan capital.      

In the Yemeni capital Sanaa, US marine forces arrived to the city in order to protect their embassy, while a protest against the US marines was cancelled.              

However, in France, police reinforced security measures around the American embassy and arrested 150 protesters, including Egyptians, Tunisians and Syrians who gathered in an unauthorized protest in Paris. It was reported that four police officers were injured during riots that erupted during the protest.                   

In Belgium, around 120 people were detained when protesters clashed with the security forces.          

Elsewhere, in the US, the American authorities reported that the producer of the film Nicolas Basili said that “he will not be returning to his house anytime soon”.
