Pope Francis approved the resignation of Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and All the East Gregory III Laham, who presented it back in February 23.
Patriarch Laham had declared that he wishes to end his duty as patriarch between 2014 and 2015 when he reaches the age of 83 or 84, or maximum 25.
