Churches in Italy rang their bells in solidarity with Lebanon where popular protests entered their twelfth day, and Italian newspapers such as "Avvenire" devoted pages to developments in Lebanon, recalling the words of Pope Francis who offered his prayers on Sunday for young people protesting in Lebanon and asked for the international community's support to keep the country a place of "peaceful coexistence".
